A two-kilometre boardwalk across Balgray Reservoir, linking Newton Mearns to Barrhead for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians. This work was developed in partnership with artist Alec Finlay and surface designers Bespoke Atelier.

A technical challenge, the boardwalk needs to slot between a busy road and a historic reservoir, whilst offering a safe and enjoyable experience. This is a strategic link between the two settlements, and our work involved extensive co-design processes with both communities, including local schools. The project is an exemplary combination of art, design, and engineering.
